Thank you for participating in the SCAD x UI Content Challenge.

This challenge invites SCAD students across all majors to explore one of the most pressing questions of our time:

How do we take care of people in an AI-driven economy?

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming industries, automating tasks, reshaping job markets, and increasing productivity at unprecedented speed. At the same time, Universal Income (UI) is being discussed as a potential solution to ensure economic stability, shared prosperity, and creative opportunity as these shifts occur.

Your submission should engage with the relationship between AI-driven workforce disruption and Universal Income. We are looking for thoughtful, creative, and strategically grounded work that helps audiences better understand this moment and what comes next.

Creativity (20 points)
How original and compelling is your idea? Judges will assess the uniqueness of your perspective and your ability to approach AI and UI in a fresh, thought-provoking way.

Efficacy and Usefulness (30 points)
Can this work function in the real world? Judges will evaluate how deployable, shareable, and scalable your submission is for a defined target audience. The strongest work will be practical, strategically aligned, and capable of generating measurable engagement or conversation.

Storytelling and Narrative (30 points)
How clearly and powerfully does your work communicate its message? This includes both the piece itself and your written explanation. Strong submissions will connect AI disruption to Universal Income in a way that is logical, emotionally resonant, and easy to understand.

Technical Execution (10 points)
How well is the work produced within its chosen medium? This includes craftsmanship, clarity, composition, editing, and overall polish.

Medium Choice (10 points)
Is the medium appropriate for the message? Judges will consider whether your chosen format strengthens the concept and effectively reaches your intended audience.

In addition to submitting your project, you will be asked to provide a written explanation outlining:

  • Your concept and core message

  • Your intended audience

  • Why you chose your medium

  • How your work addresses AI-driven workforce disruption and Universal Income

  • How your work could be distributed in a real-world context

Final submissions are due March 25 at 11:59 PM. Late submissions will not be accepted.

We encourage bold ideas, strategic thinking, and work that moves the conversation forward.

AI + UI = Prosperity for All.
